Nick Breitbach

Nick received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, with majors in International Studies and Geography and a minor in Economics.  His Urban and Regional Planning emphasis areas are Land Use and Environmental Planning.  Nick has particular interests in smart and sustainable growth. His previous internship experience includes a semester working for Johnson County Council of Governments. After graduation, he plans to attend law school to pursue studies in environmental and land use law.

Albert Han

Albert completed his undergraduate studies in Life Science and Biotechnology at Korea University. His past internship experience includes work with the Korean Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs and the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies. Albert also served for two years as an administrative clerk and translator in the Korean military. His Urban Planning emphasis areas are Land Use and Environmental Planning and he is especially interested in Sustainable Development.

Cathriona McGuire

Cathriona completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa, with degrees in Business Marketing and Media Studies. She worked in advertising for two years before returning to Iowa to pursue her Masters degree in Urban Planning. Her areas of study are Economic Development, Land Use, and Environmental Planning. Cathriona’s interests are in business development, retention, and expansion initiatives, as well as site selection and green building practices. Her internship experience includes work as a legislative aide for the City of Chicago’s Committee on Finance and market research and marketing work for Trust for Public Land, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization. After graduation Cathriona hopes to work in economic development at the either the state or federal level.

Erika Skemp

Erika completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in International Studies with a minor in Spanish. In the University of Iowa Planning Program, she studies Housing and Community Development as well as Land Use and Environmental Sustainability. Erika currently works as an intern with the Iowa City Community Development Department and as a research assistant for the University of Iowa Public Policy Center. Her planning interests include housing issues, growth management, and community development.

MaryGrace Weber

MaryGrace graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a minor in French. Her Urban Planning emphasis areas are Economic Development, Land Use and Environmental Planning. MaryGrace works as a project coordinator with the University of Iowa International Center and as the director of a nonprofit organization called Travel for Change. Her planning interests include urban redevelopment, environmental management and international development.

Nick Faselt

Nick is an undergraduate at the University of Iowa, pursuing a degree in Finance and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.  He is working as an intern for the Burlington Team during the Spring 2011 semester and is providing his expertise in real estate and finance.  Nick’s interests include commercial real estate investing and asset management.  His previous experience includes serving as an assistant property manager for an Iowa City real estate investment firm.  Nick also serves as the Vice President of the Tippie Real Estate Club, a student organization devoted to providing opportunities for students to expand knowledge of the real estate industry.  Nick plans on pursuing a career in Commercial Real Estate upon graduation from the University of Iowa.
